Sock Production Processes
Every sock material requires a different production process to achieve the best print quality, color development, and finished appearance. Below is an overview of our standard workflows for polyester, cotton, nylon, and pigment-printed socks.
Polyester Socks
Step-by-step:
• Design Preparation – The artwork is finalized and prepared for production.
• Printing – The approved design is printed onto the socks.
• Drying & Color Development – The socks are dried and treated to develop and fix the colors.
• Packaging & Shipping – Finished socks are inspected, packed, and shipped.
Cotton Socks
Step-by-step:
• Pre-treatment—Immerse the socks in a pre-prepared sizing solution.
• Printing – The design is printed onto the socks.
• Steaming – The socks are steamed for color fixation. For cotton, steaming takes approximately 15 minutes.
• Washing – Excess paste and unfixed materials are washed out.
• Drying – The socks are dried.
• Packaging – Finished socks are packed for delivery.
Pigment Printing Process
Step-by-step:
• Pre-treatment – The socks are prepared for pigment printing.
• Printing – The pigment design is applied.
• Drying & Color Development – The print is dried and the color is developed.
• Final inspection and packaging can be arranged after this process as required.
